Fat Joe was an old friend of Charlie’s who owned and operated this studio in Chicago since the 1970’s.  They both learned a lot from the old masters of the era.  Joes wife, Cindy, and their son Little Joe now run the studio.

In Memory of:

All of us here at Tattoo Charlie’s express our heartfelt grief and sympathies to the family of Fat Joe, owner of Jade Dragon Tattoo in Chicago, IL.  He was a great friend and excellent tattooer.  He was a true pioneer in modern tattooing and will be missed greatly.  You can read a short biography here.

Tattooing Professionally Since 1960 - Sailor Jerry's is the Oldest Running Tattoo Shop in Canada.  Jerry is a wonderful friend and does some of the best traditional tattoo flash in the world.
Site is currently down but he is still a good friend!

Our good friend Rob Buddha runs this excellent tattoo studio in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Owned and operated by C.W. Eldridge, the Tattoo Archive is a tattoo studio and a place to find out about the history of tattooing. Mr. Eldridge also has a catalog available with hundreds of items of tattoo memorabilia for sale.

A fantastic artist and good friend of ours Larry Brogan owns and runs this studio.  His work and atitude are amazing.  If you are ever in the Chicago area he is well worth stopping to see.
