You all are amazing! With your help, we raised over $8,000 this year at our Tattoos Against Cancer benefit for Meghan's Mountain. Sadly, Meghan is no longer with us but I believe she would be very proud of the work we did this weekend to help children fighting cancer.

Over the last few months we've been making some small changes to the studio that are adding up to a big change. On Derby Day we installed our new front counter made of all reclaimed materials from Honest Home on Market St. This has allowed the artists considerably more room for their daily work and some space to breathe. We've also completely revamped our storage areas in the hallway leading to the back room.
Over the next few months we have more changes coming; new museum items will cover the walls, a new paint scheme, and a remodeled piercing room are all on the schedule for this year.

This week I (Buddy) am in Las Vegas for the Association of Professional Piercers educational conference. It is a week of classes where piercers and business owners in our industry come together to share knowledge and help each other succeed.
I'm really excited to be here and look forward to continue to improve what we do. Over the years we've continuously made changes to stay at the top of the industry standards. What was high quality jewelry 20 years ago is now the very bottom end.
We also change our aftercare based on current understanding of how the body heals.
When I get back we will be implementing some changes to make your piercing experience better. Modifications to aftercare, changes to procedures, etc.
I want my studio to be the one you trust for all of your tattoo and piercing needs.

February 13-15 Eric, Dave, and Buddy will be traveling and working at the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Festival. This is one of the biggest and best conventions in the world and we are honored to be a part of it.
Eric and Dave still have room for a few appointments and Buddy is looking forward to displaying a booth full of tattoo history with our traveling tattoo museum.

Preston Hwy is open 10am-midnight through Monday for your last minute Christmas shopping, Lexington is open 10am-midnight friday and Saturday, 10am-8pm Sunday, and noon to 8pm Monday.
At Preston Hwy only we will be open Christmas Eve 10am-2pm for gift certificate and merchandise sales only.

On November 17th, 2014, Tattoo Charlie’s will host their fourth annual Tattoos Against Cancer Benefit. All three studios will be doing cancer ribbon tattoos for charity. All proceeds will be donated to Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation which benefits direct patient care for children and adults in our community. “Charlie, my dad, taught me the value of giving back to the community with the charity work he did.” says Buddy Wheeler, Tattoo Charlie’s son. “Meghan’s father Jerry and my dad were very close friends for decades. It is an honor to be able to give to their foundation in my dad’s name.”
In the last three years we have raised over $17,000 for Meghan’s Mountain from our events. This year we hope to have our biggest turnout yet and raise even more for this great cause.
The Preston Hwy studio will be open from 9am to 1am, the Dixie Hwy studio will be open from noon to 8 pm, and the Lexington studio will be open from 11am to 9pm. All studios will be tattooing on a walk in basis only, no appointments will be taken. All studios will have a page of awareness ribbons to choose from with a minimum donation of $30.
Jerry Steinberg, Meghan’s dad, of Meghan's Mountain will be present at our Preston Hwy. studio to greet and thank the community for helping Meghan light the mountains for the hundreds of cancer victims and their families that are being supported with this event. Coach Denny Crum will be present at the Preston Hwy studio signing autographs from 12:30-2:30pm. Coach Crum has been by Meghan’s side since her initial diagnosis in 2005 and has been a supporter of Meghan’s Mountain since its inception..
